- Curb Appeal. Probably the most
important thing. When a prospective buyer drives up to their
"New Home" what does it look like?
- Remodeling. Don't Do It!! Very few
if any home improvement projects will recoup a portion of their
cost. Also, the future owner may have very differnt ideas and may
remove what you just spent a considerable amonut of money.
- Get you home inspected by a
professional BEFORE speaking to real estate agents. You'll have a
better idea as to what needs to be repaired and what it will cost
- Do your termite inspection and
repairs as soon after listing as possible, ideally, before accepting
any offers. You could be in for a huge suprise $$$ if you wait to
long. It's possible that a second insopection will be necessary, but
the minimal added cost will be saved in multiples.
